What is coldamp?

Coldamp Electronics, S.L. is a Spanish company that designs, develops and sells audio amplifiers and switching power supplies worldwide for the professional customer and the "Do it yourself" (DIY) enthusiast.

Coldamp Electronics starts back in 2002 developing 12V switching power supplies ( see  Switchmode Power Supply For Car Audio, Article published at Elliott Sound Products  )

Later in 2003, after years of research and testing, Coldamp finally develops the BP4078 amplifier module, that quickly gained a very good reputation in the professional sector, due to its excellent sound quality, rudgedness, flexibility and efficiency.  Coldamp started selling the BP4078 amplifier in January 2006.

Having invested a lot of engineering work, mechanical design and testing, we introduced one of the first Switching Power Supplies designed specifically for high power end high fidelity audio amplifiers. This supposed a great break-through as it allowed easy construction of lighweight, powerful and robust Hi-Fi amplifiers. SPS80 was introduced in June 2006, while the smaller and extremely compact SPS30 was launched in January 2007.
